[Review] Top Shop Lipstick = Charmed

Today I thought I'd do a review on something Iv had for a little while, but recently started loving and wearing almost daily. This is in fact my first ever Top Shop lipstick in the colour Charmed.

I have loved Top Shop products for a few years, but never had the chance to try them out since I was only able to order online. With customs, converting prices and me not having a credit card, all I could do was stare at all of the British beauty bloggers raving about the creamy formula and gorgeous colours that the Top Shop beauty line had.

The main blogger that turned me onto the brand was Becca from Voussontbeauetbelle.co.uk so when we finally got a Top Shop here in Toronto, I headed straight for the makeup section! Since it was a little while ago, I don't remember exactly how much I paid, but it couldn't have been more then 12 dollars. The colour Charmed jumped out at me right away since I had just received my set of Lioele lip pencils and the orange was my favourite. I find the orange colour stands out enough while still complimenting my skin tone and over all brightens up my complexion. They do have a wide range of colours in stock on the website as well so there is definitely something for everyone.

It is a light pastel tangerine colour that can look almost clownish depending on how much you layer it up. If you put on two sweeps of it, it comes out a gorgeous orangey shade which isnt too over powering.

The formula goes on smooth, and depending on how pigmented you want your lips, you can sweep it over once for a sheer matte look or layer it up for a full bright colour. I love the creamy texture and how gradually it fades, becoming more subtle instead of coming right off.

Here are some pictures of me wearing it!

Happy Valentimes!! also Colorful Circle haul!!

Time for another late night post!! But it was quite an eventful day..It was VALENTINES DAYYY!!
xoxoxo love xoxoxo

To start off, I spent the morning running around and planning a wonderful dinner for my hubby while he was in class. I also had to get my mom a little sumthin sumthin too, I didn't want her to feel left out.

I planned a special dinner for the boy with our favourite, chicken Alfredo pasta, and chocolate covered strawberries! It was really good if I do say so myself! I'm also a dork so I ran to the dollar store and bought an obscene amount of decorations for my house, as well as for my hand made valentines cards I make every year. I even folded the napkins into little hearts :3

Hubbyfriend looking pissed cuz im taking pictures and not eating lol
(yay heart decorations!)

pasta and my chocolate covered strawberries...they didn't all fit in the chocolate bowl :(

            (Heart Napkin!!        ^^^^)

Outfit wise, I played it cool and cute with my new favourite dress. My peter pan collar dress! I love the play on cute and sexy with its black mesh and beige sweetheart neckline and collar. Not to mention I just looked really good in it!

My makeup and hair were super simple. I curled my hair in loose waves and swept it into a low side pony tail, which really went well with the cuteness of the dress. Makeup was super simple with black liner, pink, brown and golden eyeshadow and mascara. I did use some light pink blush and my Lioele pink and red lip pencils.

Here's the look. Took me only 5 min.

Close up on eyes..i make weird faces..

Now some of that makeup that I used actually came in the mail today! Oh did I forget to mention I got my Colorful Circle package? :D Well I did, and I couldn't be happier!

I only ordered three things, but I was super surprised to open the box and find a million and 1 little freebies! (Thank you jeebus!) My order included some cute clip on bangs, (I cant tell if I picked the wrong colour or if they sent me the wrong one :/ But hey, that's online shopping for ya!) Lioele All in One Gel Liner (in smokey black) and my Lioele Carry Me Blusher in the light pink colour. Tonight I used the blusher and the liner with my own makeup, and I loved them both!

Now for the freebies! I received 2 trials of Sue Hydrating gel, Lioele Blooming Shimmer Pearl Base trial , 2 Lioele Beyond the Solution BB Cream trials as well as a package of Hera Aquabolic serum. Okay, so 6 more isn't a million and 1...but it might as well be..

The whole haul :)

Now a more in depth look at the items I purchased :)

The bangs are really cute, and can be worn in 3 different styles:
.
Straight

  Parted                           or                        Sideswept

They are really easy to clip in, and the style blends really well, although for me the colour is a little bit off. With a headband it looks really cute and helps hide the line between bang and real hair as well as helps to blend the colours of my hair, and the bang hair together.

The eyeliner is really nice too! It reminds me of a transformer a little because to get the brush out, you have to pull the top, flip it, take off the little brush protector, and slide it back in. Not gonna lie, I make machine noises when I put it together. :P The consistancy of the gel is really smooth and easy to apply. It really is an all in one, because its waterproof, smudge proof (after long time wear) and probably bullet proof. I wet my hand and tried scrubbing it off, even with a towel, and it wouldn't budge! Its pretty awsome!

                                                                         Would NOT come off...

The blush is also really nice. For me, it adds a subtle shade of pink to the cheeks and almost looks like im not wearing any blush...just a natural looking flushed cheek look. The packaging is also really cute. I love that its a  little puff. Its really easy to use and comes with a mirror on top of the cap. I love love loveee this product!

And that is all for today my friends. Time for sleep to happen since its 530 am :( I swear I'm some kind of vampire.. >.>

Goodnight moon, Good night stars, Good night readers!

Lioele Lip Color Stick Review!

Ahhh, today was a pretty great day!! I met up with some friends for a lunch of Dukbokki and Bulgogi, some of my favourite foods on this planet, and then had a date night with my boyfriend! ^^ On top of that, I came home to find a pretty little package waiting for me on my doorstep :)

Omg..the food was almost too good..*drool*
hello friends on other side of the table ^^ and leg of friend beside me! lol

Now, what could that package be you ask? My Lioele Lip Color Sticks of course! I was amazed that it arrived only 5 days after I ordered from my new favourite site, LiliesShop.net! The package contained my lip colour set of 4 "flavours" as well as a sharpener and a little music note toe ring! >.< I love little bonuses!

from left to right: orange, strawberry, banana, cherry

At first look, I was a little nervous if the colours would look good, since they literally looked like harsh pencil crayons...But after putting them on, they instantly melt to a silky, easy to apply layer that moisturises your lips. I love the design since its really easy to define your lips with the tip of the pencil, and blend the colours in nicely using the edge. The colours are also really pretty and can work in a range of different looks! Each is lightly scented with the coinciding flavour which is a really nice soft touch.

Colour 1: Banana (yellow pencil)

This pencil acts more as a natural gloss. It doesn't have much colour, but it does have some light gold sparkles to it. It has a light banana scent and goes well with any natural glossy look! Great for every day/ school look.

Colour 2: Strawberry (pink pencil)

I think that this shade is a little too light for my skin tone, but apparently looks amazing in pictures on me. *Conceded Moment* It is a very light baby pink colour, and would be great for a really girly, dolly make up look. The more layers of colour you add, the more radiant the pink is! It is also lightly scented with a sweet strawberry smell.

Colour 3: Orange (orange pencil)

This one is my favourite! A super cute tangerine shade perfect for spring. Just like the others, it is scented with orange, and when layered the colour becomes more vibrant. This one would be really nice of an everyday shade that can be worn with many different styles and occasions.

Colour 4: Cherry (red pencil)

This colour is gorgeous on, and smells delicious. Definitely more glam then the others, with the bright red almost fuschia tint to it...(maybe that's just for me though..) Definitely a great colour for Valentine's Day, or for any special occasion for that matter. I can definitely see my self wearing this shade with an elegant up-do and hot black dress!

Swatches: Cherry, Orange, Strawberry, Banana
See the sparkle in the banana colour??

I got the whole set as a bundle for 25 dollars, which is a great deal, since separately they are 9.60 a piece. The toe ring is really cute as well, although i hate feet so i always wear socks....It will make a decent ring though ^^

Still to come, I have reviews on some other Lioele products, clip on bangs, as well as some new circle lenses! hopefully I will have received them all next week! Stay Tuned!! :)

Hair Extension Review!!

Today I was so happy to find a package in my mailbox, from Lilies Shop, a website that I stumbled, tripped over then fell head over heels in love with! The shop is based in Vancouver B.C, and carries a wide range of products, from skin care brands such as Innsifree and Etude House, to makeup by Lioele, and even synthetic and human hair wigs and extensions! All products are from reputable korean brands and are 100% real items. It was easy to find what you are looking for on the site, and helps identify what colour goes best with your hair, and even has reviews on the good and bad of each product. They even provide a tracking number for people that live in Canada if choosing the standard shipping option. Another thing i liked is that they have a great benefits program for returning shoppers, and even a percentage off for first time purchases! You really cant go wrong with that!

I purchased synthetic clip in hair extensions for the amazing price of 24.99 CND. They are a 50 cm, 12 piece clip in set which i bought in natural brown. One of the things i love about this hair, is that it feels like hair! even though its synthetic, it is shiny and soft, with a healthy shine, not glossy and fake looking like other synthetic hair. Another thing is that it blends in perfectly with my black brown hair. It adds a bit of volume to the hair, and also blends nicely all the way through the hair, almost like having layers. I was afraid my hair would look like a mushroom head, since i have very thick hair that all ends at the same place, but after all 12 pieces were in, there was a nice gradual thinning that happened, so it all looked very natural!

This is what they look like all clipped in :)

You can kind of see in the picture where my real hair starts, but if i actually did my hair as if i was going out, aka straightened it and not have it up in a bun all day, it would make a much more gradual transition.

With the hair, i also purchased small bottle of Wig Essence for 4 dollars. This is used to spray on the extensions before putting them in, and also before curling or straightening them. This helps them keep their original state longer, and moisturize and keep the hair from drying out and getting frizzy or tangled.

I was really happy to receive all this, but there were even more goodies inside then what i ordered! Due to the lunar new year, the wonderful people at Lilies Shop also gave out rings with every purchase ordered during the week I purchased the hair. Its a really cute black and gold adjustable ring with red flowers. Definitely something id wear.

They also threw in a free sample of Lioele Beyond the Solution BB Cream, which i also had on my wish list on the site when i ordered, which i found pretty awesome.

The last thing I got, I found the coolest. Its a Lioele Pink Hair Pad

At first I was confused on how this worked until my mom opened the package and threw it at me. Low and behold it stuck right to my bangs! I noticed it was like a gentle Velcro, with little pieces sticking up and bent at the end to catch and hold the hair.

Close up of hair pad!

Its really cute and actually holds hair back from your face, or in place. At one point I was using it to hold my bun together because I couldn't find a hair elastic! Its literally as easy to use as brushing your hair back.

Over all, I was so pleased with everything i got and the quality of everything i have used thus far! Even the ring is better quality then i thought it would be, although it is a bit small... >.> I will definitely be ordering from Lilies Shop again soon, and I think everyone else should give it a go too!!

QUICK SURVAY!! Would you buy stuff if i had a Blog Sale??
