{Review} Born Pretty Store Nail Stamp

As I previously posted, I have received a nail stamping kit from the wonderful Born Pretty Store! I did a large haul from their store before which you can find here, and a review I did on one of their amazing mood changing polishes here.

I searched how to use these stamps, and tried to do a little tutorial of how to use them, for all those other noobs out there haha. I will also include my own review on how easy it was to use, how long it took and how it lived up to my expectations. So without further adieu lets start!

The first thing I did was a nice base coat of a pearly iridescent nail polish, which I got from Ardene's for 2 bucks. I added rock candy by Sally Hansen for asparkle gradient to add some depth to the polish before I tried the stamp.

So to use the stamp, the first thing you do is pick your design. I chose to use the large flower since it was simple and large enough for me to get a good sense of the stamp. Then using whatever contrasting nail polish you choose, I picked wet and wilds blue moon, blob a bit on top of the impression.

Using the pink metal scraper, squeegee the excess nail polish over and off of the plate, using a lot of steady pressure to get as much excess off as possible.

Then stamp the impression, and it will show up on the stamper..then all you need to do is stamp the nail and your done!

To clean the plate, squeegee and the stamper, just use a q-tip with some nail polish remover, and wipe with a clean towel.

Once I figured out how to use everything, I was pleasantly surprised to see how easy the whole process was as well as how fast I could do all my nails if I wanted to. I was also happy with how easy it is to clean all the pieces and that the plate offers a good variety of different designs, from Hello Kitty, to fruit and flowers.

The only thing I didn't like was how light the stamp came out, and how it looked on my nail. It is probably just me being in experienced with the stamping process, but for my own nail art, I don't think I will be using the stamp again, unless it is for reference when I do my free hand designs. I like to have a bit more play and organic designs then a generic set of things. The Hello Kitty stamp will come in handy in the future though.

Over all, its a great product for someone looking for a quick way to spice up a manicure, and with how easy it is to use, its perfect for beginners. Its a great product and you should definitely check it out if your looking or something quick and easy!
