Urban Hauls!

So as promised, I have another haul post for you guys! This time its featuring stuff from my two favourite Urban stores, Urban Outfitters and its lower priced friend Urban Planet. Now I usually get flak for shopping at Urban Planet, but really... if I can find the same thing probably made in the same factory but 20 dollars cheaper...its a no brainer.

Without further adieu, here are my new pretty items..mainly in black and white I've noticed...

Leather High Waisted Shorts - $20
These are one of the cutest shorts I've seen in a very long time. I have been on the hunt for the perfect leather shorts and these babies are them! They are a high waisted leather short, that actually covers my whole butt cheeks! Which is extremely hard to do..I had purchased some from H&M before, but they never really hit that sweet spot of totally fulfilling my leather short dreams.
They look super similar to Amy Valentines vintage shorts.

Acid Wash Boho Jacket - $15
I found this beauty while browsing the sale section. It wasn't my absolute fave since I'm not really a fan of boho looks, and the wool panelling was a touch too boho for me. Putting it on changed my perspective though. It has an amazing fit and I love the shade of the acid wash. Now if only I could find pants in this same wash!

Dark Symbols Tank - $10
I have always loved symbols and even went into studying them ( semiotics ) so when I found this shirt I kinda fell in love with it. Its definitely a striking piece to add to a wardrobe and really fun to mix and match styles with.

Nabi Polish - 2/$5
Rose, Neutral, Hot Red
Since falls around the corner (already!!!) I thought I would buy some new fall polishes in colours that I don't have already. I absolutely loveeee the neutral and red shade, and the rose colour is a nice girly dark shade as well. They go on super smooth and only really need one coat to successfully cover your nail in an even coat. They do start to wear quickly but still amazing quality for the price.

Spike Earrings - $3 / Arrow Necklace - 2/$5
These little accessories are really cute. The earrings fit super close to the ear, and look really nice in my second ear holes beside my stretched ears. Usually any earring I put in takes away from the look of my ears but these are really nice and oddly enough quite subtle.

The necklace was really cute and there's one at my work for like a billion dollars more. I love wearing it with a really busy top since I always like having a necklace on, and it fits high enough that I can still layer longer necklaces with it.

Patent Booties - $30
THEEESEEEE. Are so cute. They are so 90s with a nice modern heel. I am so excited to pair these with my thrifted school girl skirt for a Clueless kinda look

White Lace babydoll Top - $9.99
I love this top although I have yet to find something amazing to pair it with. It has a baby doll fit and is one of those shirts that only look good with nothing underneath, although there is no bra that looks decent with it. I love the quarter sleeve and the all over lace and try to wear it pretty much everyday until I psych myself out with the nakedness underneath.

Two Toned Shift Dress - $29.99
This is is what I call the perfect everyday flapper dress. It has such a 1930's vibe going on with its super simple cut and faux two piece look.  It is extremely shapeless which I love, and makes my curvier shape look elegantly boyish. I have been searching for something like this for a very long time, and I'm so glad I found this piece for such a great price.

Jail Bird Dress - $29.99
Another dress I have fallen in love with. It has a great shape and fit, which you can see in my last outfitting post. It makes me feel really girly since the bottom has some layers and cakes out in an oh so flattering way. I love pairing this dress with my Docs or Cut out creepers.

Cut Out Leather Ankle Boots - $79
Speaking of cut outs, I am loving these boots! I almost bought them online but ended up waiting, and found them in store! They are super comfortable and look great with thigh high socks, or any socks in general. The heel is not too high and the leather detailing makes my ankles look less like popsicle sticks.

If you noticed, I didn't put which Urban I bought these at. Although, you can probably tell by the prices, I give you the challenge of guessing which store these great pieces came from! If you really want to know, leave me a message and ill tell you which items are from which...(party pooper)

Which are your favourite items? Do you shop at lower priced stores?

Stay tuned for a new outfitting post featuring my new shirt from coco-fashion.com!

Can You Hear The Silence, Can You See The Dark..

...mmm BMTH...

The other day I did a rather large purchase from the wholesale site BangGood.com. I have been creeping this website for quite some time and wondering if I should purchase from them or if I should just browse and find something in stores closer to home. After about four or five months of having the same items in my shopping cart (and checking everyday for new items...kind of obsessed..), I finally clicked purchase!

I figured I'd give a little preview of what is to come in a future post, 5 -17 business days to be exact.

Ive been obsessing over these crisscross leggings since last December, and I finally figured i wouldn't find them any cheaper and probably better off just getting them. One thing I love about this site is that almost everything has sizes! Not that 'one size' crap that all other wholesale sites claim.

After biting the bullet on that first pair of leggings, all hell broke loose and I was adding all kinds of leggings to my cart. I finally audited my collection and settled on getting these two styles as well.

While scrolling through the endless pages of awesome things, I also found this really cute body con skirt. During the months of having it in my shopping cart, I started seeing a few other bloggers doing outfit of the days with this skirt. Although Id probably do something all black, cuz that's just me, I saw a lot of really cute outfits.

I think I have some sort of shopping OCD, because I need to make everything as balanced as possible. "I have so many bottoms but no tops", I though to myself.. so I found some cute things to pair with my leggings! One of them being this super cute striped tee shirt. I can also wear this to work since there's something super similar but costing 8 times this price (literally.. 88 dollars..)

On a lot of Korean fashion sites Ive seen so many cute cut out tees, *cough* stylenanda*cough*. When I saw this shirt, I figured i might as well have it too because its so pretty! haha

Last but not least was this tie die black and cream cardigan. I love wearing cardigans, but I find all the ones I end up buying are so... stupid looking. I love the tie die of this one and I'm excited to pair it with a simple pair of jeans and a plain tee.

So that's all the clothes that should be coming in the post for me next week *fingers crossed!!!*.
I also did an order from bornpretty like..2 seconds after this one, but that post will be for another night ;)

How many of you guys stew over a full online shopping cart before taking the plunge?

MY 100TH POST!! -Beyonce Concert-

Sunday night I was finally able to see one of my favourite performers live at the Rogers Center in Toronto. As you may have guessed that is the Queen B herself, Beyonce! The tickets were a gift from my sister for my 22nd birthday, and it was one of the most amazing shows I have ever seen. But lets start from the beginning...

It was a lazy Sunday so I was napping when my sister came in and told me to get ready for the concert with a mere hour to spend getting showered and quaffed to perfection. My outfit was simple, comfortable and fabulous.

Crop top - Urban Planet
Boyfriend Jeans - H&M
Shoes - Ardene's (i know right?!)
 Bag- H&M

The finished product..

After a quick subway ride to meet up with the other girls (I went with my sister and her two friends), we decided to get a pre-game meal at Hot House for their Summerlicious deals. Now if you don't know Summerlicious, you should definitely look it up. Its an annual food festival that happens in the summer as well as during a few winter months, called Winterlicious. Basically a bunch of restaurants around Toronto make a special menu where you pick an appetizer, main and a dessert for an amazing deal. I chose to get cesar salad, surf and turf as well as a cheese cake for only 25 dollars! And let me tell you, it was the perfect way to kick off a perfect night!

Now fast forward to getting to sitting and waiting for Beyonce to make her appearance. An amazing performer named Luke James just finished belting out his songs and dancing like a mad man, serenading all the ladies in the building. The lights went down and the banner for Beyonce was covering the stage as the set it up for her arrival.

When the lights went down, and the banner went up and there within a few minutes my girl was working the stage.

The thing I loved most about watching her show was that it wasn't just "Her" show. Everyone involved had their own time to shine, and she had the most amazing visuals. You can tell that she appreciates art in all art forms, and that she gives everyone a chance to shine through out the whole event. In between her big costume changes she had videos playing that told a story and helped to introduce the next song. The visuals were absolutely breathtaking and the words behind the videos were inspiring. She also featured four dancers, two doing an amazing modern dance and 2 doing a beautiful ballet number. Le Twins, the only males  in her troupe also preformed their own duet before Beyonce came out again.

She also featured 3 members from her band, her lead guitarist, her drummer as well as her lead piano player who played the most amazing piece i have heard on a grand piano in a while.

At the end of the night, she finished off with halo, one of my absolute favourite songs by her, and she looked heavenly in an all white costume with bedazzled hot pants. During the song she had an amazing smile and such a grateful expression. I cant imagine how amazing it must be for her every night to hear a stadium full of people screaming for you and singing the words with you.

As she said during the concert, " This isn't MY show, its OUR show..."

QUICK SURVAY!! Would you buy stuff if i had a Blog Sale??
