Soloution Lens Store Review and Giveaway!

Its been a little while since I last worked with Solution-lens.com, and since my last post about them, they have done some revamping of their site. They have some great new summer deals; buy 2 lenses and receive 1 free, buy 5 get 2 free and buy 10 get 5 free as well as free international shipping! This is definitely one of the best circle lens sites i have worked with for getting the most bang for your buck.

Each pair of lenses cost 19.90 USD, and come with a lens case as well as a free gift. The shipping time takes anywhere from 2-14 work days depending on your area, and are labelled as gifts so you don't have to worry about paying duties. The lenses are all authentic and come from some very reputable brands like Geo, Dueba and Vassen. Something i love about their site, is that they give you a total breakdown of all the information on the lenses, their full name as well as several different pictures of the lenses, from models to true pictures of the lenses in their vial. It is also so easy to shop their hundreds of lenses since they have 3 different ways to search for lenses. You can look by brand, colour or by each series.

Here are some of the lenses iv purchased from Solution Lens:

Vassen Mimo Forest Green:

Angel Grey Circle Lens:

Vassen Puffy 3tone Brown:

Geo Olive Blue Lens:

Princess Mimi Bambi Sesame Grey Lenses:

Geo Xtra Sakura Pink Lens:

Solution lens is also hosting a permanent giveaway on their site. Every month they will select one person to win a free pair of lenses.  If you are a winner, you can do your own review and receive another pair of lenses for free! Solution-lens is a wonderful company that i highly recommend as i have only ever had great experiences with them.

With that said, stay tuned on my blog for some more reviews and a new haul!

{Lens Review} Secret Brown - Keautystore.com (promo code!)

As promised I have a new circle lens review, this time sponsored by the amazing Keautystore.com (formerly Liliesshop.com). I have a two previous reviews already of the original shop which was based in Vancouver Canada until their recent move to Korea. Since their move, they have added some new products, new perks and changed their name as well.

LILIESSHOP HAIR REVIEW                           LIOELE LIP COLOUR REVIEW

I have always loved the site and frequently visited it to see all the new products that they regularly put up. I originally wanted to purchase another set of clip in hair extensions (which you can see the review on here), since mine were finally starting to get a little ratty after a year of constant use.  While going through the site I found many new items I wanted to purchase and contacted the site. After placing an order and having a pleasant conversation with one of the workers, the wait began for my items.

1 week later I came home from work to find a wonderful little package waiting for me from Korea, which was a total surprise! Upon opening the package I saw a bunch of little goodies, and a hint of bubble wrap covering something at the bottom.

When I opened up the bubble wrap I was happy to see two little Neo Cosmo lens vials and the cutest little mouse animal lens case ever!

Now onto the Review!

Secret Brown

Brand: Neo Cosmo
Price: 19.00 (pair)
Base Curve: 8.60
Diameter: 14.2
Life Span: 6-8 months

Enlargement: 2.5/5
These are probably the smallest lenses I've ever had. When having one in and one out there is hardly any difference. This would be perfect for someone who is new to circle lenses or someone that is looking for a casual everyday lens that isn't too outrageous.

Colour / Design: 3.5/5
These lenses are a gorgeous yellow colour in the vile with a bold black ring around the outside, and little dots towards the middle to help blend into your natural eye. On my eyes they turn them a really pretty deep brown with almost olive green tones. As I have naturally black eyes, some lenses make my eyes look more chocolate brown, but these ones have a really pretty, dark olive green/brown look to them.

Comfort: 3/5
For the most part these lenses are quite comfortable. I haven't worn lenses in a very long time, so my eyes are adjusting, but I can definitely see myself wearing these lenses for a full 8 hours. However they are quite drying and would need to be moistened from time to time with eye drops.

Over All: 4/5
These lenses aren't my favourite, but they are wonderful for anyone new to circle lenses or looking for a simple go to for every day. My favourite aspects are the colour it gives my eyes and the comfort. Personally I like having a bit more of a design and a larger look, but these would be perfect lenses for me to wear to work on a regular basis.

Also they were so kind as to give me a promo code for all of you wonderful readers to use!

Bride of Frankenstein Makeup

As promised, I have done a fun and easy to do makeup look, which any skin tone or makeup skill level can do. All you need are a few shades of green and black eyeshadow, some makeup brushes, eyeliner and powder! Mix that all together and you get...

The Bride of Frankenstein!! o0o0o00ooo!!

Lets Begin!

To start, you want to have a well moisturised face since there is going to be a lot of powdery product building which can really dry out your face. I have used my Diane Lai Rejuvenate moisturiser and also used my Dream Girls BB cream to have a nice even and moist face.

To get an even whiter and even base to work with, I have used my e.l.f high definition powder to set the makeup. I have also put in my Geo nudy grey circle lenses to help widen my eyes.

The next thing to do is add a little colour back onto the face..although its all gonna be green! I am no makeup expert, but  for this look all you need is to know how to contour your face to bring out your features. You don't want to look like a painted mess, this is more of a elegant and sophisticated take on monster makeup. With a light greeny yellow shadow, your going to highlight your cheekbones, nose and bridge, forehead, chin and eye brow bone. Start out light just so you can play with the highlighting and so that if you do mess up you don't have to remove all of your work.

Next you will want to use an almost evergreen shade to contour your features. The main areas our going to add colour to are from your temples to the corner of you mouth in a C shape along your hair line and straight from the bottom of your earlobe and along your chin area. Also your going to contour your nose going from your eyebrows down the sides of your nose and underneath the eyes. Again start light and build up the colour using one or 2 shades of dark green.

Just to add an even darker element to really help pick up the green colour and to really show the contour, I have used a black shadow to follow the dark green from the hairline to the temples, to the cheeks ect.  I also used it to re contour my nose and fill in my eyebrows.

The next thing I did was start on my eyes. I used a jewel tone green to make an almost cat shape on the entire lid, and to line half of the lower lash line. I also used the same greeny/ yellow that i first started with and blended it over the lid to make a kind of gradation.

I then lined both the top and lower lash line of my eyes with my e.l.f crayon liner, and extended my eyebrows towards my temples. I also lined my lips with the black liner and filled in the corners a bit to add depth.

Over that I used the evergreen colour to fill in my lips and used a little bit of pink to blend the green into my natural lip colour, to add a youthful and modern take on the entire look.

The last thing to do is to add some stitches and any touch ups. I used my Joe Fresh liquid liner.  And with that your finished!

For hair I just puffed up the top and attached a white sheet with some bobby pins to look like a veil. To help keep it in place and make it look a little more neat, I added my mini tiara.

For another ultra chic bridal look, add an embellished headband and make a large bouffant hairstyle. I just pulled my hair up and a loose and messy ponytail, twisted the end under and used a black clip to secure it in place at the back.

For the outfit just wear anything white and lacy, I chose a lace tube top just for pictures, but you could pair it with a white high-low or maxi skirt to add to the bridal look.

And there it is! This is a really easy look to do, just contour and fill in the colours as you like! Ler me know if you have any tips or makeup tricks! I may be uploading another Halloween look tomorrow! So stay tuned!!!

{CL Review} Geo Xtra Sakura Pink Circle Lens!

This week has been pretty hectic to say the least, but I finally have found time to do a review for my newest lenses sponsored by Solution-Lens.com! I've always wanted to try pink lenses, and always thought the sakura style was really pretty, so I was super excited to receive them in the mail along with my Sesame Grey lenses.

Dia: 15.0 mm
Water Content: 38-42%
Base Curve: 8.7
Life Span: 1 year

Colour/Design: 4/5
-Bathroom Lighting-

Looking at the lenses in their vials, they are a really vibrant pink colour, with a darker rose red colour outlining it. They are flat colours with no gradient effect between the 2 colours. I was a little nervous at first, because I didn't know how this effect would work out, since I usually stick to the 3 tone blending colours rather then flat out hues. Once they were in my eyes though, the pink colours were only slightly toned down from their bright colours in the vial. My dark eyes helped to blend the harsh line between the two shades of pink and made a really pretty contrast, but wasn't too crazy in my opinion.

Enlargement: 5/5
-Daylight-

For 15mm, these lenses are very wearable without giving off that bug eyed/ super dolly look. They are pretty big in my opinion, but one they are in they look to be a normal size. Maybe its just because my eyes are huge so they look normal lol who knows :)

Comfort: 3.5/5
Even from this far away you can still see a hint of pink :)

The comfort with these lenses are less then stellar. I can feel every inch of them as they go into my eyes, and they start feeling dry after only a half hour. Before putting them in the first time, I had to soak them for almost a week to get them soft enough to put in without making my eyes water and feel all the edges scraping my eyeball. With some eye drops, they should be fine, but I would rather not have to put in eye drops all the time.

Overall: 4/5

For the most part, these lenses were pretty decent. The colours very wearable, and the size isn't too big for the design. The comfort it what brought down the rating of these lenses. I cant stand having an uncomfortable lens so I was disappointed with that aspect. I do like the shade of pink they turn my eyes though, and how noticeable they are, but in a good way. :) I do recommend these lenses, but would advise you keep some eye drops close by.

My next post will be a shopping haul and outfit of the day :) Stay tuned for that!!
Goodnight lovelies!!

{CL Review} Princess Mimi Bambi Sesame Grey Lenses

I have finally gotten my grey lenses from Solution-Lens <3 They are, as the title suggests, the Princess Mimi Bambi Sesame Grey lenses..that is one hell of a title. The came in a package with my First pink lenses!!!! But  that review will come next week ;)

Dia: 15.0 mm
Water Content: 38-42%
Base Curve: 8.7
Life Span: 1 year

Design & Colour: 5/5
These lenses are absolutely beautiful. They have a thick black limbal ring with a flower design leading into the center, with specks of light grey, dark grey and a cool blue grey tone through out which gives off a very beautiful gradient effect with your natural colour. It also has a circle of golden specks in the center which helps blend into deeper brown eyes.

Enlargement: 4/5
-Bathroom Lighting -

With 15mm diameter, these lenses are pretty big, but are still very wearable. They don't give off that bug eyed effect but you can see the size on them. They aren't the biggest Iv ever seen but they do have a good size to them. Definitely noticeable, but in a good way

Comfort: 4/5
-Bathroom Lighting-

Like all contacts, the first time putting them in wasn't that nice. When putting them in I could definitely feel the rim of the lens as it was going into my eye. :/ But as usual, after about 15-20 min they became super comfy, and I could feel how hydrated(?) they were against my eyeballs.

Overall: 4.5/5
-Sunlight-

All in all these are wonderful lenses. I only took a half point off because of how uncomfortable they are when I first put them in. I like to put my lenses in quick and be able to get on with the rest of my day, but with these I have to wait until they are comfy and until my eyes stop watering. Once that's done with though, they  become the prettiest grey, most comfortable thing ever put into my face.

TIME FOR MORE PICTURES !!!

QUICK SURVAY!! Would you buy stuff if i had a Blog Sale??
