[Wig Review] Keautystore.com Pony Tail Review

Pictures curtesy of Keautystore.com

As promised, I am back with a new review from Keaurtystore.com! Today I am finally reviewing one of my favourite pieces i have ordered, the Style Pony Glam Wave Tie Up Ponytail

This pony tail is a 50 cm clip/tie in pony tale with a curly wave style at the bottom. Again I ordered it in the colour, natural brown as that is the colour that most suits my hair shade, although this particular style comes in 9 shades. That is the most I have ever seen any hair product across many online stores carry.

The hair piece stays on by a small set of comb teeth connected to a ribbon that ties. When putting in the hair piece, you first make a pony tail or a small bun. Clip the teeth into the hair elastic, and then tie the ribbon around the ponytail a few times until the hair wraps around your ponytail and looks natural. What I usually do with the rest of the ribbon is tie it in a bow underneath my pony tail and secure it down with a bobby pin. After that I either wrap a strand of hair around to cover the ribbon or use another decorative elastic over top.

RATINGS

Style: 4.5/5
I absolutely LOVE this hair piece. It is the perfect length, and adds a nice romantic look to any style. the curls are the bottom keep their shape beautifully and look really natural. I took a half point off because the ponytail itself isn't that thick, and after wearing it for some time the curls tighten and make it look much thinner and curlier rather then wavy. When my hair grows longer it will help thicken up the pony tail, but I'm not sure how it will effect the curls.

Quality: 5/5
I am always blown away by how amazing the quality of the hair products is at Keautystore. The quality you get for the price you pay is amazing, and all of their products last for so long even with constant wear. You do have the option to use heat on their hair products as well, although i don't advise it.

Ease of Use: 4/5
It is super easy to use this product, the only issue I have with it, is that some times the teeth come out or loosen your own hair tie, and it starts to fall out. If I'm going to be out for a long time, I always use extra bobby pins to secure everything just in case as well as tying everything really tight so it stays in.

Over all:4.5/5
As I have already mentioned, I love love LOVE this product. At $29.00US its not the cheapest (but lets be real.. 30 bucks is totally a great price) but I am so happy with this product. Its something I wear almost every day, and sometimes even wear it with my clip in extensions to make a nice half up half down hair style. Its definitely a great versatile piece.

Here are a few pictures with my wearing them!

[Wig Review] Upstyle Talent Queen Fashion Wig - Keautystore.com

As I had mentioned in my previous beauty haul, I ordered some new hair accessories and so far have been loving them! Today I will be reviewing the bun style wig i had purchased.

I have been wanting to put my hair up in an acceptable bun for a really really long time. I cut my hair short in the winter and since then iv been stuck in that odd, mid length limbo. I can put my hair in a meek little ponytail but I love wearing top knots (which i cant anymore *sigh*).

While searching the website, I found a really cute bun style which was on sale for $4.30 from its original $8.60 price. I figured what could go wrong with buying it! Cheap, good reviews and it looked amazing on the model.

Its always easy ordering hair items from this site, since they do a very good job at show casting the different colours and actually explaining what each colour looks like. This bun for instance comes in three different colours, natural black, natural brown and two toned brown.

Natural Black                                Natural Brown                                 Two Tone Brown

My hair has turned back to its natural dark brown hue, so the colour i chose was natural brown. Their explanation of the colour is "looks dark brown indoor and normal brown outdoor" which is exactly how i would explain my hair colour.

I was extremely excited when I finally received my parcel with all of my goodies. Everything was neatly packaged and ready to wear. The bun came individually packaged in a sealed plastic bag, and even came with a little instruction sheet to ensure you wear the bun properly.

Now for my Ratings!

Colour / shine = 5/5
As previously mentioned, the colour suits my hair perfectly. I was nervous at first since I wasn't sure if it would look too fake, or a completely different colour. It isn't shiny either and looks and feels like real hair.

Quality =4/5
The quality is amazing for something that was less then 5 dollars. It doesn't shed and it stays in wonderfully. The only reason i took a point off is because it tangles quite easily. It is made with shorter hairs so even though it tangles, it is quite easy to get out. Also the elastic is extremely sturdy so far.

Style = 3.5/5
The only thing that isn't amazing about this product is that i t looks slightly different then the models, which usually happens with online purchases. My bun isn't made with a smoother texture, it is more curly when i wear it. To smooth it out, i have to brush it and pin the ends down, otherwise it looks like a big curly mess at the back of my head.

Overall =4/5
This product does exactly what i intended to use it for, and goes above and beyond what i thought it would for the price. It gives me the look i want, and is extremely comfortable to wear. Its easy to use, and takes me from a terrible hair day to a fabulous up do in minutes.

[Beauty Haul] Keautystore.com

As promised I am writing about my amazing experience with Keautystore.com and the wonderful items I purchased! As I had mentioned in my last lens review, I had recently made a purchase of 4 items off of their website for the first time since the company switched names and moved to Korea. Needless to say, their service was stellar! The few I came into contact with were very helpful with any problems I had, and all emails were answered within 24 hours.

I have always kept a watchful eye over all of their new products coming through the store, as well as prices on their amazing hair pieces and makeup. After purchasing a set of clip in hair extensions from the original shop, I was hooked. Finally a few weeks ago I decided to get a replacement pair since I had worn the originals to death.

While looking through the hair section, I also found a gorgeous clip in ponytail hair piece as well as a bun up do hair piece on sale. I figure I needed these since my short hair has been driving me crazy. I cant even make a proper bun T__T.

The last thing I ordered was an eyebrow razor since I have also taken to shaving off half of my eyebrows recently. Call me crazy, but its sooo much easier drawing on the tail end of the eyebrow then shaping it... for me anyways.

$2.80 CAD

All together my total came to $64.52 (I had also ordered a pore brush, but it was out of stock), but with points collected from my previous orders as well as item reviews on their website, I received about 20 dollars off and only paid $42.74. That is with shipping included as well!

As I had mentioned before, the person I had emailed over the pore brush was extremely helpful and even tried to find the next best item on their site as a substitute. Unfortunately the only similar item was about 3 times more then I wanted to spend, so they refunded me my money back on paypal immediately, no if, ands or buts about it. Something iv always been nervous about was getting refunded from an online shop, but at Keautystore, there is absolutely no hassle!

After about a week and a half, I came home to find a large box hanging out of my mailbox from Korea. Needless to say I was thrilled and literally ran inside to see what I received. I am always super impatient while waiting for a package, and I was nervous to see how long I had to wait, but it took almost the same amount of time it would have taken from their old location in Canada. This made me a very happy camper!

It was alot nicer then this..I just kinda tore through everything right away before taking a picture :/

The box was nicely sealed with no cracks or bumps in it from its journey. Opening it I could see everything laid out neatly all packaged and only slightly bent. Everything arrived safe and sound, and I'm so happy to start using my items and post for you guys!

sooo many samples <3

If you would like to order from Keautystore.com, make sure to use my coupon code: mikkidoll to get 5% off your entire purchase! I really wouldn't be talking up this store if it wasn't worth the hype. They are definitely a company I will buy more from in the near future!

BIG Changes!! & Haul / NOTW

Sooooo basically I cut all my hair off. I now have a short bob style which I actually love! I have always wanted long hair, but my hair has always had other ideas, so I gave up and chopped it off last night. I cant wait to experiment with new short hairstyles and see how this cute look will work with edgier fashion.

I never really liked short hair, or thought it would look good on me, but its really nice...we will see how long I love it for though. haha

Also, I have been doing a little bit of shopping recently...some at Anthropologie (mainly at Anthropologie, some at urban outfitters and little bits here and there).

From Anthropologie I bought a few really cute pieces from their new season and some from their sale items!

First off, this army jacket. Its seriously amazing! The front is a really nice, over sized army jacket with big pockets and a nice collar. The back is the surprise.

The back is a gorgeous knitted pattern with yellows, pinks, navys and really makes the jacket pop! It goes perfectly with any style, jeans, dress, skirts etc.

The next item I bought was this super cute printed, collard dress shirt. It has an adorable bicycle man print all over it, and has navy cuffs, collar and stripe coming up the middle. It is soft and really comfy to wear.

This is another really nice top I bought. The front and back are a sheer material, while the arms and neck are a comfy jersey type material. Its longer in the back and has a cute rolled up / button sleeve. Its really comfy to wear and really gives off an easy going professional look.

This last sweater I bought might be my favourite purchase so far. Its something I've never seen before, and soooo cute on! It has and irregular hemline along the bottom, and the back has a lace piece inside, that just peaks out along the bottom. I bought it in a medium so that it was longer  and so that the arms were a bit looser. I LOVE THIS SWEATER! It looks amazing with leather pants or with tights as well.

This is the last item I bought from Anthropologie. These shorts are actually really really cute! They have a scalloped bottom and a really nice jacquard print with a shiny fabric. They are high waisted and look really good with opaque black tights. I cant wait to wear these with a really cute blazer and nice collard shirt!

At Urban Outfitters, I bought some amazing pieces. This cute grungy sweater with with denim vest, and Love Tarot card tank were 2 great finds in their sale section. They really look so good and the sweater is really warm

The spiked headband was from Garage, which is super crazy, since I didn't think they would have anything like that. The ox blood pants were from Urban Planet, and only cost me 20 bucks!

I also bought these black leather pants from H&M. They are really really stretch and super comfortable to wear. I'm afraid of wearing these in the summer though..we all know what its like to stack to leather seats...imagine leather pants!

Last but not least I also bought this gorgeous long skirt from Costa Blanca for 10 bucks! This is a picture of the back  since the front is just a regular skirt, but the back is rouged  and it has a slit up the side of the leg to just under the knee. Its so nice and comfy and has an effortless sexy chicness to it.

I also picked up some accessories from Anthropologie and Costa Blanca. The two belts were from Anthro, and are so cute! The silver one has a snake head and tail, so it looks like its wrapping around your waist, and the gold one as a really cute jewelled front.

The gold chain necklace I bought from Costa Blanca, and it is so nice. Its the perfect accessory to throw on with literally anything, even a bummy sweater!

I'm happy with everything I got and I didn't break the bank getting em! I wonder how they will all go with my new hair... :D

My next post will probably be a review..I just don't know on what yet. haha MYSTERY REVIEW!
I will leave you with my new nails for this week! Ciao!

Wavy Hair with No Heat

Tonight I went out with some friends, just for a small hangout at a frozen yogurt place. I didn't want to get super dressed up, but I still wanted to look well put together. I figured I could do my hair nice, and decent makeup with some skinny jeans and a sweater, and everything turned out as I wanted! (For once...>.>)

I decided on a cute easy look for my hair, that required no heat, and took about 10 min to achieve. Its super simple, helps moisturise and protect your hair as well as looks good every time. So without further adieu, the look that I got:

What did I do to achieve this look you ask? Well its as simple as making 5 small buns on your head and spritzing them with leave in conditioner...Literally..that's it....(End of Post)...

No seriously though, The way to do this look is super simple. What I did was section my hair into 5 different parts around my head. Doing each section at a time, I took the strands and sprayed them with some of my leave in conditioner. I use a specific brand I get from my hairdresser by Revlon called, " Hydro Nutritive Conditioner, Equave 2 Phase. Well that was a mouth full...

This conditioner starts out white and dark blue, and you have to shake it before you spray it, and it turns to a pretty aqua colour. It helps detangle hair, mend split ends and damaged hair, as well as gives moisture and protection to the hair.. Needless to say, I love this conditioner!

After spraying the piece, I twist it (away from face if its a front strand, all others don't really matter) until its a tight coil.

This coil will naturally want to curl up into a tight bun, and I just go with the flow until its wrapped tightly. My hair will stay in place without using and elastic or pinning it, but its best to pin it just in case. Using an elastic will create creases in the wave and throw off the pattern.

I do this with the rest of the strands and end up looking like this...
It looks like I'm a star fish or something lol

Now we wait until the conditioner is soaked into the hair and dry. For me this takes about 10 - 15 min. Once dry all that's left to do is to unravel the hair like this!:

Once each bun is unravelled, run your fingers through each piece to separate the waves. Don't forget some hairspray to keep the shape!

TADAAA!! All finished :)

If you want tighter waves double the amount of buns around your head, the smaller the section, the tighter the wave. Also do not saturate the hair with leave in conditioner, just lightly spritz it. This would probably also work with water, but id say stick with the conditioner since water would dry your hair out further >.<

So that's what I did today..Hope you enjoyed! Stay tuned for a shopping adventure..I feel the need for one of those coming on... As well, next week there will be a new nail tutorial/post :) still deciding between newspaper  print nails or something more fun... :)

QUICK SURVAY!! Would you buy stuff if i had a Blog Sale??
