BIG Changes!! & Haul / NOTW

Sooooo basically I cut all my hair off. I now have a short bob style which I actually love! I have always wanted long hair, but my hair has always had other ideas, so I gave up and chopped it off last night. I cant wait to experiment with new short hairstyles and see how this cute look will work with edgier fashion.

I never really liked short hair, or thought it would look good on me, but its really nice...we will see how long I love it for though. haha

Also, I have been doing a little bit of shopping recently...some at Anthropologie (mainly at Anthropologie, some at urban outfitters and little bits here and there).

From Anthropologie I bought a few really cute pieces from their new season and some from their sale items!

First off, this army jacket. Its seriously amazing! The front is a really nice, over sized army jacket with big pockets and a nice collar. The back is the surprise.

The back is a gorgeous knitted pattern with yellows, pinks, navys and really makes the jacket pop! It goes perfectly with any style, jeans, dress, skirts etc.

The next item I bought was this super cute printed, collard dress shirt. It has an adorable bicycle man print all over it, and has navy cuffs, collar and stripe coming up the middle. It is soft and really comfy to wear.

This is another really nice top I bought. The front and back are a sheer material, while the arms and neck are a comfy jersey type material. Its longer in the back and has a cute rolled up / button sleeve. Its really comfy to wear and really gives off an easy going professional look.

This last sweater I bought might be my favourite purchase so far. Its something I've never seen before, and soooo cute on! It has and irregular hemline along the bottom, and the back has a lace piece inside, that just peaks out along the bottom. I bought it in a medium so that it was longer  and so that the arms were a bit looser. I LOVE THIS SWEATER! It looks amazing with leather pants or with tights as well.

This is the last item I bought from Anthropologie. These shorts are actually really really cute! They have a scalloped bottom and a really nice jacquard print with a shiny fabric. They are high waisted and look really good with opaque black tights. I cant wait to wear these with a really cute blazer and nice collard shirt!

At Urban Outfitters, I bought some amazing pieces. This cute grungy sweater with with denim vest, and Love Tarot card tank were 2 great finds in their sale section. They really look so good and the sweater is really warm

The spiked headband was from Garage, which is super crazy, since I didn't think they would have anything like that. The ox blood pants were from Urban Planet, and only cost me 20 bucks!

I also bought these black leather pants from H&M. They are really really stretch and super comfortable to wear. I'm afraid of wearing these in the summer though..we all know what its like to stack to leather seats...imagine leather pants!

Last but not least I also bought this gorgeous long skirt from Costa Blanca for 10 bucks! This is a picture of the back  since the front is just a regular skirt, but the back is rouged  and it has a slit up the side of the leg to just under the knee. Its so nice and comfy and has an effortless sexy chicness to it.

I also picked up some accessories from Anthropologie and Costa Blanca. The two belts were from Anthro, and are so cute! The silver one has a snake head and tail, so it looks like its wrapping around your waist, and the gold one as a really cute jewelled front.

The gold chain necklace I bought from Costa Blanca, and it is so nice. Its the perfect accessory to throw on with literally anything, even a bummy sweater!

I'm happy with everything I got and I didn't break the bank getting em! I wonder how they will all go with my new hair... :D

My next post will probably be a review..I just don't know on what yet. haha MYSTERY REVIEW!
I will leave you with my new nails for this week! Ciao!

{D.I.Y Headband} Lady Liberty

Since a lot of my readers are from the USA, I thought that I'd do a little tutorial that ties in pretty nicely with the festivities over the border. :)

A few years ago, I saw an accessory that I had wanted so badly that I started dreaming about it. On the Stylenanda website, I saw something called the liberty spike headband (which is still in stock), and which i thought was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen. Basically its what your guessing, a head band with silver spikes coming outta the top, but at about $40USD, I really wasn't up to buying just a head band and watched it from afar.

Gist of the story is, if I wasn't gonna buy it, id have to make it, and since I finally got my hands on some spikes, I figured I'd go for it! It was super easy to do, and didn't cost me anything, but would probably not cost more then 15 bucks if you were to buy the items I used.

So lets get started!

The items you will need are:

  • A head band, preferably leather or a rougher fabric then satin or thin plastic.
  • 5-6 spikes (or more) of whatever size you wish / that will fit on the head band
  • Glue gun with glue
  • Something to help measure and plan spike placement
The first thing I did was do a mock up to see how many spikes I wanted, and the placement of them, so I used some pieces of sticky tack to place the spikes on and see how I liked it.
Once I was happy with the placement, I took the spikes off, measured for accuracy and marked the spots with the sticky tack

All that was left to do was to glue on the spikes to the head band, and Voila! Liberty Spike Headband!
Super easy right?

Now it isn't the most stable headband since its only glued, but I'm sure it'll be good enough for me, and will still be easy to reuse the items once I'm finished with this style (if ever). For more stability, you could always get the 2 piece spikes and put it through the headband by making holes and snapping or screwing them in place.

This project took me less then 15 min, and now I have a super wearable and amazing homemade headband!!

Port Huron Collective Haul!

A few days ago, me and my family made a wonderful trip over the border to Port Huron, Michigan for some shopping. We usually go there every summer at least 3 times, and so far in the last 3 weeks, we've gone twice, and I've spent a pretty penny each time.

The one thing that got me super excited for going to our favourite shopping destination, Burchwood Mall, is that they have a Target! I love going there for all the cheaper prices and awesome food flavours we don't get in my part of Canada, aka Cherry Pepsi.<3 That, and also that they usually have a full stock of E.L.F cosmetics!! I will be doing another post with my entire elf haul over my last 2 trips, so stay tunes for that lengthy bit of info.

Todays post will consist of my fashion buys, which really isn't that much compared to how much makeup and back up makeup I bought. :) 1 top, 1 pair of shorts, which I have blogged about previously, some jewelry and 3 pairs of shoes to be exact.

The top I got is really nice for a really hot summer day. Its very light woven material with a really cool and colourful print across the front. It has a cow skull as well as a skull with a native headdress on it, and ties in the front. It actually goes really well with the purple dip dye shorts that I bought from Hot Topic that day. I got the top from a store called Pacific Sunwear (pacsun) for only 9.99USD, and the shorts were only 7.99USD on sale.

I also got a really pretty gold stretch, heart bracelet with intricate designing on it. I love the way it dresses up a casual outfit, and is more of a cuff style, but still has a feminine look to it. I also got a pair of gold skull earrings and a pair of 10 gauge tapers :). Yes, that is right, I am finally starting to stretch my ears!!

 So far, it hurts. T_T

I also got 2 necklaces from a store called Rue21. The first is a black bead and spike, wire collar style, which i have been looking for for ages!! I'm so glad I found this, and for only 8.99USD! The other necklace I bought is a really cool mixed metal arrow head necklace. It has silver and gold triangles chained together for a short and trendy looking necklace. I got the second for only 6.99USD.

Now for the shoes! I bought 3 during my trip, 2 from Kohl's, and one from Journeys.  The two from Kohl's were both on sale and were amazing prices so I definitely couldn't pass them up!

The first one I fell in love with were a cream and wood high wedge shoe. Originally it was 74.99, but I got it on sale for only 27.99USD. It has a Tstrap, and strappy beachy look, with a statement white column down the heel, which really caught my eye.

The next ones that I found were originally 59.99 and I bought them for an amazing 17.99USD! Again a wedge shoe, but a little lower then the first pair. They are also a strappy fabric shoe, that features a colourful ethnic print and a statement row of tiny pyramid studs down the center.

Both are super comfy and feel like I'm walking on a cloud! I really wish I could have found more awesome shoes for those prices, in my size >.>

The last shoe/item I bought was my strappy black sandals from Journeys. These were also on sale for 19.99, and I really only wanted them because they look almost identical to my previous favourite sandals which have ripped. The only difference is that my old ones have a tiny wedge heel on them, but other then that, they are virtually the same.

So there it is for now, that is my shopping haul for the past few trips. I will be posting my elf haul soon since I have everything I want from that company for now. :)
Stay Tuned!!!

QUICK SURVAY!! Would you buy stuff if i had a Blog Sale??
