October Favs!! -____-" super late postttt!!

These are 9 of my most used products last month! Some I will continue to use through out the next months, some are empty and need a re buy! Next month I will have a whole new batch to share my thoughts on, but for now I'll leave you with this!

Mane 'n Tail Herbal Essence line
Ive been trying to grow my hair out since cutting it short last March, and Ive been using the Mane 'n Tail products for a while. They help to thicken my hair, and actually has helped grow my hair a bit faster over time. I noticed when i first started using the original line, my hair was getting very dry and brittle, so when they came out with their Herbal Essence, Olive Oil infused products, i jumped all over that. They currently have the shampoo, conditioner as well as a leave in conditioning and protecting spray. I love the scent of these products, and so far they really help to lock the moisture into my hair. I bought them at Walmart for a fair price, and have been using them for a few weeks now.

Dollar Store Makeup Remover
This product actually doesn't have a name...it just says Mevida, Fresh Clean Cleansing Wipes...but theses makeup remover wipes/cleansers are AMAZINGGGG!!  for 1.50 you get 25 wipes of unimaginable makeup removing ability. I will do a more in depth review of these wipes later on, but they were better then most other drugstore/ salon products. Since they double as a cleanser as well, I'm super lazy I will use 2 sheets, one to remove makeup, and one to thoroughly cleans my face. Like i said, i got them from Dollarama for only 1.50!

E.L.F Candid Coral Blush (studio line)

This is my absolute favourite blush right now. Ive been wearing it pretty much everyday. It is the perfect blend of pinky orange, with gold specks for a really light and elegant girly look. It reminds me of NARS Orgasm blush, just an extremely toned down version, although you can still see the highlights from the gold specs and the pink shades. I bought this from Target for 3 dollars. (You can also find it on the elf website.)
E.L.F Tinted Moisturiser (studio line)
Like the blush, this is a product iv been wearing nearly every day. Its a sheer to medium coverage tinted moisturiser in the colour Sand, and it fits my complexion almost too perfectly...sometimes I cant remember where i have already applied it. It keeps my face moisturised and does a good job of covering all my blemishes without making me cakey or fake looking. It also has an spf of 20, so it acts as the perfect light coverage for summer or winter. I bought this from Target as well for 3 dollars. (Also available on the elf site.)

Joe Fresh Liquid Liner
Another one of my absolute favourite items in my makeup bag. This small pen like liner makes perfect shapes, and consistent lines. The felt tip is flexible and easy on the eyelids, so it doesn't feel like its scraping your face off. The black liner is extremely deep and perfect for an edgy look. The liner stays on all day once it dries after application, and doesn't smudge or melt away. At only 6 dollars from Joe Fresh its something i couldn't pass up.

Rimmle Tri Colour Eye Shadow (621 Orion)
I never really had any neutral brown shadows until i picked up this one from Shoppers Drug Mart. Since I'm already brown, I didn't think i needed / could wear brown tones properly, but i found this wonderful shadow trio. Each colour actually shows up and contours my eyes wonderfully. The colours give off a very sophisticated and mature look, but can be mixed and changed to do anything from a super simple daytime look, to an edgy night time smokey eye. I bought this one on sale for around 4 dollars.

Diane Lai Rejuvenate Moisturiser
Since its getting cooler, my face is becoming dryer during the day, so I thought it would be a good time to get a light daytime moisturiser. I have combination skin depending on the months, so this all natural moisturiser from Diane Lai was the perfect thing.  It comes in an easy to use pump, which gives you the appropriate amount, and a very light non sticky base for you to layer makeup onto. It works wonderfully with my elf tinted moisturiser, acting almost as a primer, evening out the surface of my skin and making a great base to work from. This was actually gifted, so as of right now I'm not too sure where to get it from or the retail price.

Biotin
Along with the Mane 'n Tail products, I have been taking this vitamin supplement for long healthy hair growth. The bottle says it helps with the metabolism, but many people have been using this product specifically for healthy hair and nails, and i have jumped on the band wagon. I take one pill a day with a meal, and wait for the magic to happen. I'm not sure if it has been working much, although my hair has grown at an abnormally steady rate, although this could be due to many different factors. I bought these from Shoppers Drugmart on sale 9 dollars per 90 pills.

The Body Shop Almond Body Butter
This I can honestly say is an AMAZING product. The smell is amazing and it makes your skin so silky and smooth and just delicious. Yes...it makes your skin delicious...not edible though...shhh. At first its a little overwhelming and heavy, but i use this product on very dry areas in serious need of moisture and only at night after a shower. In the morning the area(s) are soft supple and almost moisture filled to the touch! I bought this from the Body Shop for 9 dollars.

If there are any items you readers would like thoroughly reviewed let me know and ill do my best to oblige. Stay tuned for my next post, a haul as well as my Leibster Award Questions ect. Thanks for reading!! Have a great night! :)

{REVIEW/ OOTD} E.L.F Studio Matte Lip Colour

Many of you have probably heard of the cosmetic company, Eyes Lips Face (elf for short), who sell supreme quality makeup for dollar store prices. They have a wide range of products from cleaners and toners, to base and colour makeup, to makeup tools and polish, all ranging from $1-$25 dollars.
They also have 3 lines, Essential, Studio and Mineral, which all include primers, base makeup, lips and eye makeup as well as tools and polishes, at different price ranges.  Essential which is their range of products from $1-5, Studio is a higher quality at 5-25 dollars and the Mineral brand features 100% natural mineral makeup and cosmetics ranging from around 3-20 dollars. You can find these product in many dollar stores, drugstores and shops like Target or Wallgreens.

As the title says, I will be doing a review of most of the elf studio matte lip colour lipsticks. They are a decent sized lipstick, that come in a crayon like application style, which also features a sharpener at the end of the stick. They are very handy for making correct lines, and for doing outlines which you would need a lip liner for. Currently their are only 6 colours, and i will be reviewing 4 out of the 6, Tea Rose, Natural, Coral, and Praline.

Tea Rose, Praline, Coral, Natural

Since they are the studio line, they cost me $3.00 USD, at Target, which after shopping at Sephora for awhile is definitely a huge bargain! You get a lot to work with and the colours are quite nice depending on your skin tone. They are quite drying and very matte so I do advise wearing a lip balm under or a gloss on top to keep your lips moisturised.

Tea Rose, Praline, Coral, Natural

Here are pictures of me wearing the different colours and what I rate them for myself. I take into consideration how they look on my skin tone, the price, how easy they are to apply and how many times I have to reapply. More info will be with the pictures.

Tea Rose : Daylight

Tea Rose: Bathroom

This one is really pretty, just doesn't translate that well with my skin tone. It has a pretty lavender tone to it, but since its so matte, like the rest, it comes off a little powdery and cakey. I added some clear gloss over top to tone down the powdery look it gave, which helped it blend a bit more. This colour was achieved after only one application, and lasted a few hours/ until it is wiped off. They all have a really great candy taste to them as well.

Over All: 2/5
P.s this colour looks AMAZING on youtuber Voussonbeauetbell

Praline: Day light

Praline: Bathroom light
For my skin tone, this is the only colour that looks good for everyday wear. Since its a darker orangy colour, it blends well with my natural lip colour and looks a lot less cakey and powdery then the rest. In these pictures I used a light balm underneath so the full matte colour will come through. This one is my favourite out of all of the colours I have.

Over all 4.5/5

Coral: Daylight

Coral: Bathroom light
The colour for this shade is truly gorgeous, the only downfall being that its matte, and makes me look like a drew on my face with chalk .:( I was really hoping that this one would look nice but it failed me as well. Like the others it did go on very smooth with only one application and lasted all day

Over all: 2/5

Natural: Daylight

Natural: Bathroom Light

This is the last one I bought. It almost looks like a mix of praline and coral when its on, with all the chalkyness to boot. As well, goes on smooth, and tastes great..not for my skin tone but not as bad as the others sans Praline.

Over all: 3/5

Over all they were all pretty disappointing. If you have a darker skin tone and want to try these out, I suggest Praline, and only Praline.. They do have a nice red one, but you could get a higher quality one instead. At 3 dollars, they did surprise me with their quality and how much attention to detail the makers must have put in to make these some really great lipsticks. Although I am impressed, i wish they had more colours suitable for more skin tones, and also less of a cakey appearance.

Lastly here is my outfit I wore today ^.^

Simple and it was kinda cool out so opted for pants..For shoes I wore some simple white converse.

Port Huron Collective Haul!

A few days ago, me and my family made a wonderful trip over the border to Port Huron, Michigan for some shopping. We usually go there every summer at least 3 times, and so far in the last 3 weeks, we've gone twice, and I've spent a pretty penny each time.

The one thing that got me super excited for going to our favourite shopping destination, Burchwood Mall, is that they have a Target! I love going there for all the cheaper prices and awesome food flavours we don't get in my part of Canada, aka Cherry Pepsi.<3 That, and also that they usually have a full stock of E.L.F cosmetics!! I will be doing another post with my entire elf haul over my last 2 trips, so stay tunes for that lengthy bit of info.

Todays post will consist of my fashion buys, which really isn't that much compared to how much makeup and back up makeup I bought. :) 1 top, 1 pair of shorts, which I have blogged about previously, some jewelry and 3 pairs of shoes to be exact.

The top I got is really nice for a really hot summer day. Its very light woven material with a really cool and colourful print across the front. It has a cow skull as well as a skull with a native headdress on it, and ties in the front. It actually goes really well with the purple dip dye shorts that I bought from Hot Topic that day. I got the top from a store called Pacific Sunwear (pacsun) for only 9.99USD, and the shorts were only 7.99USD on sale.

I also got a really pretty gold stretch, heart bracelet with intricate designing on it. I love the way it dresses up a casual outfit, and is more of a cuff style, but still has a feminine look to it. I also got a pair of gold skull earrings and a pair of 10 gauge tapers :). Yes, that is right, I am finally starting to stretch my ears!!

 So far, it hurts. T_T

I also got 2 necklaces from a store called Rue21. The first is a black bead and spike, wire collar style, which i have been looking for for ages!! I'm so glad I found this, and for only 8.99USD! The other necklace I bought is a really cool mixed metal arrow head necklace. It has silver and gold triangles chained together for a short and trendy looking necklace. I got the second for only 6.99USD.

Now for the shoes! I bought 3 during my trip, 2 from Kohl's, and one from Journeys.  The two from Kohl's were both on sale and were amazing prices so I definitely couldn't pass them up!

The first one I fell in love with were a cream and wood high wedge shoe. Originally it was 74.99, but I got it on sale for only 27.99USD. It has a Tstrap, and strappy beachy look, with a statement white column down the heel, which really caught my eye.

The next ones that I found were originally 59.99 and I bought them for an amazing 17.99USD! Again a wedge shoe, but a little lower then the first pair. They are also a strappy fabric shoe, that features a colourful ethnic print and a statement row of tiny pyramid studs down the center.

Both are super comfy and feel like I'm walking on a cloud! I really wish I could have found more awesome shoes for those prices, in my size >.>

The last shoe/item I bought was my strappy black sandals from Journeys. These were also on sale for 19.99, and I really only wanted them because they look almost identical to my previous favourite sandals which have ripped. The only difference is that my old ones have a tiny wedge heel on them, but other then that, they are virtually the same.

So there it is for now, that is my shopping haul for the past few trips. I will be posting my elf haul soon since I have everything I want from that company for now. :)

Mermaids and Silver

Just a quick post for today. As usually, my computer is broken, so I am stuck begging for my brothers until I find money to fix / get a new laptop (yay -__-").

Anyways, todays post will be short and sweet, just an outfit i put together for work today. Although I'm only supposed to wear clothing from my work, I couldn't help mix it up a bit and wear a statement top from my work with a beautiful skirt that I bought for only 5 dollars!

The top is a sheer light teal and white blousy tank with a small breast pocket. Its really cute on its own or with skinny jeans, but I decided to change it up and put it with a black mermaid skirt. Yes I call it a mermaid skirt, don't ask me why, but I do! Its also been called a high-low skirt, mullet skirt ect.

I kept it simple with a long silver leaf necklace and some strappy black sandals.

That is all for tonight, but I will be back soon with a huge elf haul as well as a new circle lens review. Review will most likely be up tomorrow night ^^

To those who were lucky enough, I hope you had a great memorial long weekend, and to everyone else, I hope you had a good weekend and day at work!

Stay Tuned for my next post!!
