Ladys Sunday Brunch

This past Sunday, my sister put together a little brunch to serve as a meet and greet between her and some of her fellow entrepreneurial friends. There were women ranging from business owners, hair care gurus, event planners, authors and bloggers. I was obviously invited as the little sister, as well as resident photographer for the event.

We made arrangements at the best brunch spot in town, Hot House restaurant, which had amazing food but a serious wait time for our table. After 20 min waiting, we were seated at a gorgeous table set for 20 and put off to the side on a raised section of the restaurant reserved of large parties. Once we put down out coats we were off to the buffet tables which were filled to the brim with everything you could imagine.

After about 4 (or 6) plates, I was put to work as photographer and snapped a few pictures, as well as various outfits from the luncheon.

It was a great to meet all the women there who I made so many new connections with. If you and your friends are looking for a reason to wear some new outfits and have some fun, I definitely suggest planing a brunch date. Easy excuse to get out of the house and enjoy the amazing weather on a budget.

hmm I would say my mom..shes a wonderful woman and has been through so much, but still rose to the top!

Ootd tribal orange and teal

This is an outfit I wore a few days ago. It was hot but I always hate wearing strapless things unless its a formal dress, so I put a blazer over it.

The tribal looking patterns on the jumper went very well with the semi structured cotton blazer and the colours worked beautifully together.

I dont usually like wearing bright things so I think that these beautiful saturated colours went well with the colourful trend we've been seeing lately

Quick outfit post for today!

I am going to a party tonight, so I decided to dress up a little bit :) I'm wearing this backless floral dress and pairing a light blue denim jacket with it!

I love this dress because its just amazingly cute! Its an almost neon purple colour with bright pink and yellows and greens. Its backless, just coming together at my neck with a button and then at the bottom where the skirt part is.

I added my arrow necklace for a bit of edge and paired em with my strappy white wedges.

Now lets hope I don't fall over drunk later! :P

Since Last Post Compiliation

Lately I haven't been doing much in the sense of buying clothes or circle lenses...though I am waiting on 2 to arrive.. but I have been having fun hanging with my boy, going on mini trips and working. With that being said, today's post will be a mash up of what Ive been up to lately with pictures and less words. :) Enjoy! Outfit post / Sneak Peak

Another quick post tonight before I wither away to sleep land. I recently went to a comedy club over the weekend and enjoyed an evening filled with lots of laughs and drinks. I really didn't know what to wear since it was my first time going out to a comedy club, and I really didn't want to be over dressed or under dressed for the occasion.

I tried to play it safe with black leggings and a really nice, semi sheer collared top. It just HAD to start raining before I left, so I through on a denim jacket and combat boots to set off the cute collar with some edgy goodness. For a bit of colour, I added a really pretty amethyst crystal necklace I had bought earlier in the day, for only 5 bucks might I add! To tie the purple into the outfit, I did a purple smokey eye with a lively pink lip and a natural looking blush.

I feel like this outfit really went well with the light hearted mood of the comedy club but still looked cute and was very comfortable and chic. I definitely could have worn this look to work or on a date as well, since its so easy to put together and appropriate for almost all occasions.

...

Now something completely unrelated to the comedy night..but super exciting!! I came home to a new package today! Try to guess whats in it!

It came in a yellow envelope from Thailand  (hmm a lot like another package from a few weeks ago.)

 & Everything was bubble rapped a few times...

Dip - Die

Today will be another short post, as I am ready to pass the f*** out. I am FULLY exhausted..probably because I went to bed at 3am last night, and woke up at 7..I don't even know why, cause I didn't work till 5pm tonight >.>

Anyways! Before work me and my boyfriend decided to go for a picnic in the local park, and as it was hot as anything outside, I decided to wear my new favourite item, my two toned, purple dip-dye cut off shorts!! <3

I got these when I went shopping in Port Huron the other week, (which I will be posting about soon..but I'm going back again in a few days so I'll be doing a collective post....) and which I am TOTALLY in love with!

I got them from Hot Topic, and when I went into the store, they were just waiting for me to get them. They were on sale for 7.99 and were the last size in the store..which happened to perfectly fit my gigantic butt!! It was a quick in and out after I saw these shorts, and for a steal of a price too!

So back to the picnic, I wore them with my black cropped, baggy tee and my silver leaf necklace for a bit of contrast :)

After the picnic, I had to run home and change for work, and since it was getting a bit cooler, I decided to put on some layers, and of course wear my other new favourite item, which I just posted about 2 days ago...My Mermaid Skirt!!

I paired this with my pause style shirt, which was neatly tucked in so only the pause part could be seen, and my walker boots. For accessories, I kept it simple wearing only my silver "rays" necklace from HnM.

Tomorrow is my day off so I may post something a little different then the usual. I recently re-did the layout of my room, and included a makeup area. If I clean it up a bit, I may do a mini room tour...if I don't I'll probably hit you guys with another lens review of my Puffy 3 Tone Brown.

Mermaids and Silver

Just a quick post for today. As usually, my computer is broken, so I am stuck begging for my brothers until I find money to fix / get a new laptop (yay -__-").

Anyways, todays post will be short and sweet, just an outfit i put together for work today. Although I'm only supposed to wear clothing from my work, I couldn't help mix it up a bit and wear a statement top from my work with a beautiful skirt that I bought for only 5 dollars!

The top is a sheer light teal and white blousy tank with a small breast pocket. Its really cute on its own or with skinny jeans, but I decided to change it up and put it with a black mermaid skirt. Yes I call it a mermaid skirt, don't ask me why, but I do! Its also been called a high-low skirt, mullet skirt ect.

I kept it simple with a long silver leaf necklace and some strappy black sandals. 

That is all for tonight, but I will be back soon with a huge elf haul as well as a new circle lens review. Review will most likely be up tomorrow night ^^

Lazy Post / What i bought today preview

Not much to post today. Just what I wore to work, and some things I bought today which I will show, and review tomorrow!

I wore my lace top, which I recently purchased, and talked about in my last post. I paired it with some blue jeans, boyfriend blazer and some ankle cowboy boots. I kept my accessories really simple with a single long chain watch necklace and my everyday bracelets and rings :)

These are some things I bought today which I will be reviewing some of tomorrow :) i do have some more accessories i want to grab before I do the Haul post, but that should come later in the week!
